Williamsburg Winery at Wessex Hundred is pulling out all the stops to host this spectacular evening featuring three renowned Somms, a guest Chef, five delicious courses and 15 world-class Virginia wines.

This interactive dining experience is the highlight of the Williamsburg Harvest Celebration. Three renown Sommeliers will compete for your votes to help crown the first-ever Williamsburg Harvest Celebration Master of Taste. Throw out the rule book, and let these passionate oenophiles pique your palate as they stretch the boundaries of conventional wine and food pairing.

Wessex Hundred proprietors, The Duffeler family, are proud to have French sommelier Sabine Brochard as one of the somms. She was the first young lady to work in the Cellar Management at La Tour d’Argent in Paris, and went on to work at prestigious establishments like Jules Verne and Guy Savoy in France. She and her husband currently have Ver di Vin, a wine tasting restaurant in Orleans, France.

Chef Ika Zaken welcomes Chef Laurent Brochard and together with the winery culinary team they will prepare the five courses that will be paired with three wines – one selection from each sommelier. You will be asked to judge which pairing you thought was the best (and most daring) fit for that dish. At the conclusion of the event, the Sommelier with the highest point total will crowned Master of Taste. Are you up for the challenge?
